The Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRI) is a 100,000 acre business park located in Storey County, Nevada that is home to some of the nation's leading tech businesses, including Tesla, Google, Blockchains LLC, and Switch. A seat of innovation, TRI and its corporate residents promise to rock the world of technology... and the world for Nevada's wild horses. 

Comprising one-third of the habitat for the Virginia Range mustangs -- the very horses that inspired Wild Horse Annie on her journey 50 years ago to save America's wild herds -- the TRI is breaking new ground for development that balances progress with respect for and stewardship of the natural world. 

TRI developer, businessman and Storey County Commissioner Lance Gilman, a staunch and longtime advocate for wild horse protection, has laid the groundwork for protecting wild horses on the TRI and the businesses coming into the burgeoning park are following suit. 

The major landowner in the TRI is now Blockchains, LLC, which plans to build the world’s first smart city based on blockchain technology and owns 70,000 acres at the park. Blockchains is 100 percent committed to protecting wild horses and has been working with the American Wild Horse Campaign and other local organizations to develop reliable water sources and healthy range conditions for the estimated 1,000 wild Nevada mustangs that roam its land. 

Blockchains, Switch, and the other tech companies locating at the TRI are the engine driving economic development in Northern Nevada.
