AWHC team members were pleased to welcome Martin Schulman, Professor and Specialist in Veterinary Reproduction at University of Pretoria, South Africa to Nevada's Virginia Range. In addition to his reproductive specialty, his research on PZP is an incredible resource.

Dr. Schulman is overseeing the data analysis of AWHC's Virginia Range Fertility Control Program and got a first hand look at the range and some of the horses. In fact, he got to see the range from the ground and the air during a flyover!

The data analysis will provide information to help us perfect our already successful program. What we do on the Virginia Range and the analysis of our scientific approach is being watched by scientists and researchers in the wildlife fertility control field. Our results can set a standard for fiscally responsible wild horse and burro management in the West.

It is a pleasure and a tremendous opportunity working with Dr. Schulman and the University of Pretoria.
