Nevada Groups take a national stand for humane wild horse management

This month, the American Wild Horse Campaign and its coalition partners sent a letter to the soon-to-be confirmed Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, currently a U.S. Congresswoman from New Mexico, asking her to put a stop to the brutal ovariectomies the Bureau of Land Management has planned for wild mares. Almost 60 animal advocacy and rescue groups signed on, including 10 local Nevada and Virginia Range organizations! The Nevada groups’ input is essential and vital to the ask because they are the boots-on-the ground, running a range-wide program of fertility control, rescue, and range management and are truly showing there is a humane and better way to manage wild horses. Thank you for all the work you do!
